Oh, also, these aren't necessarily my "favorite" albums. You can just go ahead and assume that any album I listen to is one of my favorite albums. I basically just chose albums that held the most sentiment. Listing some of these made me pretty nostalgic and teary. Boo... Yeah, so, in no specific order or anything. Picture Perfect (The Tracks Of - Tyler Hilton)
One day me and Darkness will run away and Sun will see
He should have let me take her in the first place and
Stay awake to see the picture perfect moon she'll give me
Walk Me Home (So Real - Mandy Moore)
And I wondered how it would be
If I was your lady and you were my friend
I would put my heart in your hand
And it would never end
Strictly Game (Technicolo Health - Harlem Shakes)
He said, "If life gives you lemons, then thus God bade.
So, put a little bit of bitter in your pink lemonade"
Main Title/Fairy Dance (Peter Pan - James Newton Howard)
K, SO, this soundtrack has no lyrics. But, oh, if I could only express perfectly and without fail how much these two tracks make me feel! So full and burst-y, naive and in love, reckless and safe.
Do For Love (R U Still Down? - Tupac)
Now my ambitions to be free
I cant breathe, cause soon as I leave, its like a trap
I hear you callin' me to come back, Im a sucka for love
Thats right, sucka for love
Missed the Boat (We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank - Modest Mouse)
We were certainly uncertain, at least I'm pretty sure I am
Well we didn't need the water, but we just built that good goddamn
Passenger Seat (No More Doubt - Stephen Speaks)
And I've got all that I need
Right here in the passenger seat
Oh, and I can't keep my eyes on the road
Knowing that she's inches from me
The Pieces Don't Fit Anymore (Undiscovered - James Morrison)
Well, I can't explain why it's not enough
Cause I gave it all to you
And if you leave me now, oh, just leave me now
It's the better thing to do
St. Patrick's Day (Room For Squares - John Mayer)
No way November will see our goodbye
When it comes to December it's obvious why
No one wants to be alone at Christmas time
And come January we're frozen inside
Making new resolutions a hundred times
February, won't you be my valentine?
And we'll both be safe 'til St. Patrick's Day
You're the Ocean (Poetry & Aeroplanes - Teitur)
I'm fire, and you're the ocean
I'm energy, and you're the rhythm
Love is somewhere in between
What you believe and what you dream
I'm just trying to make you mine
Sleep (In Motion - Copeland)
I must be dreaming when I'm sitting here
On someone else's throne
Am I sleeping with my eyes wide
Won't you let me know?
Think Of You (One Cell in the Sea - A Fine Frenzy)
And you rest your bones
Somewhere far from my own (OKAY, all the sites say it's "house" and not "own," but I like "own" more.)
Yeah, but you still pull me home
Superman (Maybe Tomorrow - Joe Brooks)
Alright, this whole song is fucking sweet.
You Turn Me 'Round (Strange and Beautiful - Aqualung)
When the sun sets around me my daydreams confound me
And the long nights surrounds me
You turn me around
You turn me around
Heaven (Once Again - John Legend)
Heaven only knows, Heaven only knows

Man got to sit and wonder why, why, why
Tiger got to sleep, bird got to land
Man got to tell himself he understand
Exclusive - Chris Brown ...'Nuff said
It's Alright (Curtis - Curtis Mayfield)
Now listen to the beat
Kinda tap your feet
You got soul
Everybody knows that it's alright
Whoa it's alright
Sofa King (The Mouse and the Mask - Danger Doom)
Keep the streets, we got the city needing conquered
Discreetly with the city till they be completely bonkered
The fans demanded it, handled it, swallow it
His own brandishing, if only he could bottle it
I Am Young (Davy - Coconut Records)
I don't know you and you don't know me, let it go, let it go
I cannot see what you cannot show
I cannot be where you will not go
The Future Freaks Me Out (I Am the Movie - Motion City Soundtrack)
I’m on fire and now I think I'm ready to bust a move
Check it out I’m rocking steady
To the beat in my head
It goes oh, oh-oh-oh
I know that she’s the only one
I’d rather waste our time together
Yeah, ‘cause we can get down
We Will Become Silhouettes (Give Up - The Postal Service)
And I'm looking through the glass
Where the light bends at the cracks

Pretending the echos belong to someone
Someone I used to know

The moon is a magnet, everyone's at it
Everyone's at it

I believe our love can save me
Have to believe that it can
I gotta reinvent myself for you
Can i be your man?
Two Of Us/Do Your Thing (Celebrity - *Nsync)
I'M TORN BETWEEN THE TWO. YOU KNOW THE LOVELY LYRICS ALREADY.
Divine Romance (Singalong - Phil Wickham)
Note: I don't usually listen to his songs with any religious catalyst (except for that one time on retreat). He writes pretty things and they just happen to usually be about Jesus.
For you I sing, I dance
Rejoice in this divine romance
I Thought I Saw Your Face Today (Volume 1 - She & Him)
And the cars and freeways
Implore me to stay
Away, out of this place
My mother said just keep your head
And play, as it lays
Tennessee (Stand Still, Look Pretty - The Wreckers)
Maybe I was much too selfish
But, baby, you're still on my mind
Now I'm grown and all alone
And wishin' I was with you tonight
Kill the Director (A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation - The Wombats)
I've met someone that makes me feel sea sick
Oh, what a skill to have
Oh, what a skill to have
So many skills that make her distinctive
But they're not mine to have
Do the Panic (Raise the Dead - Phantom Planet)
Ba ba ba, ba ba sha-doo be do
You Are the Best Thing (Gossip in the Grain - Ray LaMontagne)
The beginning is just a burst of JOY AND BRIGHT, GOLDEN, HAPPY FEELINGS.
Fearless - Taylor Swift
It's hard to pick a favorite from this album. It all just reminds me of high school and prom.
Love You (Two Way Monologue - Sondre Lerche)
Pretty instrumental. I swear I'm not just getting lazy because it's nearing the end.
Chelsea Dagger (Costello Music - The Fratellis)
Call me up take me down with you
When you go I could be your regular belle
Taper Jean Girl (Aha Shake Heartbreak - Kings of Leon)
I think this is, like, my ultimate Kings of Leon song. Favvooorriittee for all these fun reasons.
You left me standin' here, on this lonely street to cry
Wow, did I really just do all of that? PHEW. Anyway, I don't know the rules of this meme, I don't think there was any set structure. So, if you choose to take on this meme just know that posting favorite songs/lyrics is more than optional.
Alright, so, Tyler Hilton will forever have this strong, warm grasp on my heart. He doesn't know it, and he doesn't have to, but he's probably the first guy I've fallen in love with. ON THE REAL. He was the first show I ever experienced and he was also, like, the first contest I've ever won! A few months ago my friend and I entered this contest to meet him and we won and got to sit in during his sound check. WOW, just thinking about it brings me back to that I-GET-TO-SHARE-A-PRIVATE-MOMENT-WITH-TYL
Better on Beachwood - Tyler Hilton
I'm going to focus on the last two tracks, Don't Forget All Your Clothes and I Believe In You, because, although Tore the Line is equally awesome, the other two leave me enamored and shaken for a lingering while afterward.
Don't Forget All Your Clothes
Covered in tears,
Blush on your face.
You tell me you’re mad,
You stomp on my floor.
Fuss with your bags, baby,
Say we know love no more
THIS SOOOONNNNGGGG. It's so typical Tyler, but with fresh, earnest, brokenness that he hasn't achieved before. I mean, it's still Tyler (hence the typical), but like NEWER and SAUCIER, mmmmmmm. The whole premise of this song is very painful and true; something I've yet to experience, but that doesn't lessen its impact.
K, so, the super main reason I love this song is because (omgomgomgom) we're sitting in on the sound check listening to them play around and I can't really hear what anyone's saying because my head is spinning, my heart is a flutter, and his girl friend (so cute together, btw ...painfully cute :'( ) is sitting three chairs away from me, but I notice the band start to grumble and groan. So, Tyler says Guys, guys, don't worry. We won't do this during the actual show tonight. Can't risk choking anyway, and everyone gets really quiet. THEN THE MOST MAGICAL THING HAPPENED and they started the a capella right there in front of my very eyes; so raw, so honest. When Tyler comes down to meet the winners of the contest (ME ME ME ME ME), I asked him why they weren't going to start the song with the a capella and he goes onto explain how they've always meant to at previous shows, but end up chickening out because it's "just not good enough." ♥_♥ PSHAW, Tyler. So, I just said how I thought it was beautiful and that it would mean a lot (and be super awesome) if they did it for that night's show, and he laughed and shrugged it off. WOW, I cannot begin to explain how surprisingly cool, calm, and collected I was. EVEN IN THE PRESENCE OF HIS BOYISH GRIN. So, yeah, the show happens and I'm basically creaming my pants when ALRIGHT, YOU KNOW HOW UP THERE I SAID THE MOST MAGICAL THING HAPPENED? X-NAY. BECAUSE THIS IS THE MOST MAGICAL THING THAT HAPPENED, as he asks them to dim the lights as low as they can and everyone is sitting there unaware of the other worldliness that is about to enter their lives, the most heart wrenching, angelic, beautifully rough crescendo of an a cappella introduces itself and I just ...I JUST.
Ooooh, man, he makes my head swirl.
I Believe in You
Baby, that's all I need
Someone like you burning through me
Oh, and it's never fair
The way the we meet, and you disappear
Tyler was explaining this song to us while they were fixing up stuff on stage and I burst into tears. Embarrassing... but even more embarrassing for those who were not moved. How could you NOT be? See, Tyler wrote this song with no one in mind. No one and everyone. He said he just wrote this song with the thought and the hope of finding someone. Believing in someone so badly, some woman he hasn't met yet, and trusting that she's out there, walking around and being made for him. ERRRGGHHHHHHHHHHH, Tyler.
Well, I hope you enjoy it if you take the time to download it!
